Snag Reserve — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Snag Reserve ("Snag Reserve," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Snag Reserve mobile app, website at snag-res.app, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your phone number (for SMS verification), your name, and any display name you choose. We generate a Snag Reserve user ID internally.
Reservation activity. We store the reservation requests you create — restaurants, dates, time windows, party sizes, strategy preferences — along with their outcomes (booked, missed, cancelled) so we can operate the Service and show you your history.
Third-party platform access. If you connect a third-party reservation platform, we store the session tokens or equivalent authentication material needed to act on your behalf. Where possible, we avoid storing passwords and rely on session-based authentication. Tokens are encrypted at rest.
Payment information. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers. We do receive limited billing metadata (such as subscription status, last 4 digits, and customer ID) to manage your subscription.
Device and technical data. We collect your push notification device token (so we can notify you when a reservation is secured), basic device model and OS version, and server-side logs necessary to operate and secure the Service.
Referrals. If you use or share a referral link, we record the association between the referring user and the referred user to apply any referral credit.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Create and maintain your account and verify your phone number.
- Operate the automated reservation service you have configured.
- Communicate with you about reservations, account activity, and subscription status.
- Process payments and prevent fraud and abuse.
- Improve the Service and diagnose problems.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited ways:
- Third-party reservation platforms. When you request a reservation, we submit the necessary details (such as your name, phone number, party size, and any payment method held by that platform) to the relevant platform so the reservation can be made in your name.
- Service providers. We use vendors that help us operate the Service, including SMS verification, payment processing, hosting, push notification delivery, and proxy infrastructure providers. These vendors receive only the information needed to perform their function and are contractually restricted from using it for other purposes.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Snag Reserve, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If Snag Reserve is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Third-Party Reservation Platforms
Snag Reserve interacts with third-party reservation platforms on your behalf at your direction. Your use of those platforms is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Snag Reserve is not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party reservation platform, nor for any action such a platform may take with respect to your account on their system.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and reservation data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account at any time by emailing contact@snag-res.app. We may retain limited information as required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements. Session tokens and verification codes are short-lived and expire automatically.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption of stored platform credentials, and access controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices and Rights
- Access and deletion. You may request a copy of the information we hold about you or request deletion by emailing contact@snag-res.app.
- Push notifications. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.
- Cancellation. You can cancel your subscription from within the app. Cancellation does not automatically delete your data; use the deletion request above if you want your data removed.
California residents (CCPA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To submit a request, email contact@snag-res.app. We do not sell personal information.
8. Children
Snag Reserve is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International Users
Snag Reserve operates from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be processed in the U.S., which may have data protection laws different from your country of residence.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you in the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
